How to set up a default price when you import products
Price rules allow you to set a default sell at price for when you import products. This value is parallel to the price on your Shopify.
This setting will only affect the default price when you import a new product and will not affect existing listings already on your store. You can set up your own price rules to quickly import items to your store and ensure you're earning what you want!
How to set up price rules
1. Go to your Store, and select "Price Rules"
2. In Price Rules, make sure Sell at Price is turned on, then set a price modifier for new imports.
There are a couple ways you can set a modifier:
Multiplier - Multiply the product cost (KiwiDrop's price) by your set value.
(i.e. If product cost is $10.00, a multiplier of 1.5 will set default price to $15.00)
Markup - Add a flat amount ontop of the product cost.
(i.e. If product cost is $10.00, a markup of $5.00 will set default price to$15.00)
Margin - Set a margin based on your set value.
(i.e. If product cost is $10.00, a margin of 33.33% will set default price to $15.00)
You can also set up what value will appear in the cents.
Select Assign Cents and then set a value to set the default price's cent value.
(i.e. If a default price is $10.14, but your Assign Cents is set to 00, the default price will be $10.00)
3. Once you set them up, try importing a new product from KiwiDrop! The default sell at price should be adjusted based on what you set in Price Rules.
Here, my Price Rules are set to Multiplier = 2, and Assign Cents = 00, which sets the default price from ($12.94 * 2) = 25.88, then sets the cents to 00, resulting in $25.00.
